The core responsibility for this position is guiding the development of content with the highest level of technical accuracy for various accounts. This position must report onsite to our Bucks County, Pennsylvania office.
- Experience in the oncology area is required; publication planning experience is a plus
- Advanced life sciences degree required; MD, PhD, or PharmD
- Medical writing experience, including abstracts, posters, oral presentations, publication plans, is a plus
- Working knowledge of good publication practice, CMPP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The successful candidate will plan, conduct, and direct the development, execution, and evaluation of projects and programs to increase technical knowledge and provide solutions to risk and uncertainty problems related to property loss prevention.
The scientist/engineer will provide rigorous methodologies, new insights, and actionable conclusions relative to the assessment and reduction of risk including the characterization of all forms of uncertainty to research, engineering, underwriting or other corporate business units.
Statistical, analytical, and operations research techniques will be developed to assess, improve or guide internal research studies and to perform engineering and business data analyses.
Relevant internal research activities include the application of design of experiments [DoE], statistical protocols for quality reliability or performance assessment, and uncertainty quantification for fire science, structural response, natural hazards or equipment reliability studies.
Data analyses functions include all aspects of risk related to property loss and business interruption impacts including the development of techniques to optimize appropriate forecasting or to characterize uncertainty.
The successful candidate will serve as Technical Team Leader to the FM Global Research Area Director of Risk, Reliability and Failure Prevention. The scientist/engineer must exhibit technical, managerial, and personal leadership, in addition to technical expertise and problem solving skills to develop new projects and programs both within and outside of Research.

Incentive Mentoring Program Site Director
The Dunbar –JHU East Baltimore Site Director (SD) will oversee 200+ volunteers to coordinate tutoring, mentoring and social support services for Baltimore’s most at risk youth. This position has a two-year commitment to provide continuity for IMP students. The SD will be available to students and volunteers 24/7 to offer support in times of crisis. Actual work schedule will vary and hours are variable, requiring the SD to arrive early or stay late. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in a related field (i.e., Social work. education, public health, behavioral science or community- based education program, service or advocacy) preferred.
