Which BCMB professor are you?

It is the start of a new academic year, and new students will be meeting their BCMB professors for the first time. If you’re just arriving at Hopkins this seems a bit overwhelming, as there are currently 107 faculty listed on the BCMB roster (though there are likely more). Let me help you out by describing just six of the professors who you will likely meet during your first days of class. For the rest of you, let’s take a trip down memory lane. Late summer is the perfect time for reflection about your scientific disposition, so let’s all answer the question “Which BCMB professor are you?”.

Poll: Announcing the BCMB community newsletter!

BCMB is a large program. So large, in fact, that you still discover “new” current students and faculty long after your first year classes. We hope to change that by publishing articles and editorials by BCMB students, for BCMB students on topics ranging from lab life to living in and around Baltimore. Some of you might not know me, but my name is Matt Shirley, and I work in Jonathan Pevsner’s lab. Along with a fabulous group of students, I will write (to the best of my ability) content that you’ll want to read. What kind of content? Below are some ideas. Let us know which ones you think are the best.
